At the completion of the 2nd cycle studies, students should have developed their musical composition skills to a high professional level .in order to create soundtracks for movies, TV series or broadcast, managing the production from the birth of the idea until the creation of the mockup, the recording of live instruments and the final surround mix 5.1. They should be able to take responsibility for the engagement between context, audience and musical material, showing an independent and well-developed personality. Through individual in-depth research and study, they should be able to apply their knowledge to express their own artistic concepts. Students should have a profound understanding of the interrelationship between their theoretical and practical studies and should have a sense of how to use this knowledge to strengthen their own artistic development. They should also be able to demonstrate their command of verbal skills to express their aesthetic concepts. Students should have become fully autonomous learners, able to take on extended and complex tasks in an organized manner, dealing with complex projects, alone or in groups, independently and with confidence.

Study mode: Full time / Part time
Admission requirements: admission to second-level academic courses is reserved for students in possession of a first-level academic diploma, or a three-year degree, or a conservatory diploma of previous system combined with an upper secondary school diploma.
Admission is subject to passing an admission exam.
Students whose mother tongue is not Italian must also demonstrate, following a valid test or certification, that they have acquired knowledge, skills and linguistic competences corresponding at least to level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The Conservatory arranges, even in agreement, didactic activities to achieve the necessary level of language skills.
Admission exam program:
Oral exam consisting of:
Presentation by the candidate of a book containing video or audio works, electronic productions or scores, which will be the subject of discussion with the commission.
Demonstrate mastery of electronics to create, produce, create and know how to write scores for various ensembles.
In the judgment of merit, particular weight will be given to candidates with adequate skills in all the sectors mentioned above.
Requirements and regulations for obtaining the degree: the course is based on the ECTS system. To obtain the qualification, the student must complete all the educational activities as described in the study plan, which includes compulsory and optional activities for a total of 120 credits.
Final test:
the final exam consists in a written paper on a topic concerning film music and in the composition and realization of a soundtrack system for medium-length films.
Exams and grading system: the assessment of individual achievement is expressed with a mark out of thirty for the exams, or in a judgment of suitability for the other forms of verification. The exam is passed with a mark of at least eighteen out of thirty. In the event of a maximum vote, honors can be attributed unanimously. The final exam grade is expressed out of one hundred and ten, with possible honors, and cannot be lower than the weighted average, compared to one hundred and ten, of the marks obtained in the entire training course according to the CFA acquired. Any honors, honorable mention or other forms of academic recognition are awarded unanimously. The minimum grade for passing the test is 66/110.
The ECTS Grading Table, published on the institutional website, shows the percentage distribution of the grades of both exams and final exams, in order to facilitate the conversion of grades between institutions using different grading systems.
Access to further studies: Graduates of second level academic courses can access third level courses.
